Homewood Mountain Resort will take $5 off the cost of a lift ticket for skiers and boarders who ride TART to the resort. All TART buses have racks to accommodate snowsport equipment. There is a new winter connection between North Lake Tahoe and Truckee via Northstar on hwy. 267, and all Truckee routes connect to Northstar and Sugar Bowl. Most large employers offer special incentives like free fares and meal and merchandise discounts to employees who ride TART or the Truckee Trolley to work. Alpine Meadows, Northstar-at-Tahoe and Squaw Valley USA employees can ride a free daily employee shuttle that departs downtown Reno at 6:30am daily starting December 14. Contact individual resort transportation departments for details. Using transit is not only cheap and convenient, it's a great way to reduce automobile emissions, helping to protect our fragile alpine lake environment.
